Satellic's proven technology is revolutionising the road charging market. A core technical element of the satellite-based toll system is the On-Board Unit (OBU) used to support the collection of a route-dependent road user charge. With the aid of satellite positioning (GPSGalileo), a compact computer installed in the vehicle exactly measures the distance travelled on a toll route. The OBU facilitates calculation of the toll charge payable and sends the data wirelessly to a computer centre for invoicing.
