The importance for the implementation of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is increasing above avarage in Poland. 20 Billion Euro are planned by the government to be spend on Operational Program "Infrastructure and Environment for the years 2007-2013” including a number of ITS projects in land, marine and air transportation.

Satellic was present during the congress days to introduce and discuss alternatives of road user charging on Polish roads. Patricia Wrzesniewski, Manager International Projects, responsible for the Account Poland gave a presentation on operation of the satellite-based toll system with prospects for Poland. As result of the congress seperate sessions shall be organized in the next future to individually retreat the various topics for instance Traffic Management Systems, Electronic Fee Collection, Traveller Information Systems.
