Inertial Navigation (IN)

A method to determine the position and orientation of a vehicle (relative to a reference system) by integrating measured linear accelerations and possibly turn rates. In a broader sense (in GNSS context) also the usage of measured velocities or distances is often being considered to be an inertial navigation method.

Interoperability

The ability of systems to provide services to and accept services from other systems and to use these services to enable the systems to operate effectively together.
